A monolith of brightly tinted concret completes the old train station to welcome the new MUS: Museum of Urban and Social History of the City of Suresnes. The extension comes as a base for the station, an unfolding ribbon and smooth frontage that prolongs the surrounding supporting walls. The station is preserved in its original state but the extension adds a first floor terrace that can welcome outside openings, workshops or exhibitions.
For this museum, we choose to put face to face a contemporary architecture and the historical building by playing on the colors and the materials: the light and smooth concretes on the outside, the bright and joyous bricks on the inside.
