The exhibition celebrating the anniversary of the French Railway company SNCF had a large selection put in a 150-meter long train and toured for three weeks.
We reorganised the works into five cars for this scenography, and embarked in a chronological journey from 1938 to 2008. We reworked the concept of aisle and compartment. Each compartment has bright boxes with photographs, placards sketches whereas the aisle has a timeline with sound package and different animated sketches of miniature trains. In contrast to that, we pictured experiences in close, narrow rooms with elements pertaining to the world of railway: an infinite railroad, a room filled with folded tickets, the lost and found warehouse, a speed simulator recording device on tracks…
Attached magnetically on the car’s bodywork, flashing led brighten the stationed train to celebrate this anniversary in the eighteen towns we passed by.
