Encore Heureux was founded in 2001 by Nicola Delon (1977) and Julien Choppin (1977).

In 2002 we received our diploma from the Ecole d’architecture de Paris for a cultural project using the rail network.
From 2002 to 2005, we realized ephemeral installations, with tight budgets and numerous restraints. In parallel we developed our graphic work (summary images, websites, graphic design) aimed at architects.

Since 2005 we have participated in architectural competitions and worked on studies in association with Patrick Bouchain, Phillippe Madec, Jean-luc Vilmouth, Mutabilis and G-Studio.
Our work, acknowledged in the specialist press, has been the subject of several publications and has been presented in works, exhibitions and conferences in France and abroad. In 2006 Encore Heureux won the “Nouveaux Albums de la Jeune Architecture awarded by the Ministry of Culture.
We have realized a floating building for a cultural organisation in Paris, for Rocamadour we are exploring flexible reception structures and, in collaboration with the Elioth engineers (IOSIS), we are developing an electric pylon/wind turbine project.

In 2009 we won the competition for the construction of the municipal museum for the town of Suresnes; we are participating in the Ordos 100 project for experimental housing estates in Inner Mogolia (China) – organized by Herzog et De Meuron, and are invited by the National Art Museum of China, to design prototype of emmergency housing.

Our work is centered around creating comfort, inventing new uses and inspiring wonder. Seizing opportunities, making excuses and observing situations are equally strategies to conceptualize projects in architecture, art and design. For us, Encore Heuruex rhymes with demand and lucidity, optimism and commitment.
